Road Trip

Driving in my car, rhyming up a storm.

It might feel out of pocket, but for me it's kind of the norm.

I've got my beverage in hand and an audio book in queue.

Right now this trip is really just about enjoying the view.

I might stop several times to stretch each thirty-year-old joint.

It's not the most time efficient, but that's not really the point.

We are the wind is something my family likes to say,

when we aren't focused on the destination, but simply on the way.

Because it's really just about enjoying the drive.

There is something about a road trip that helps me come alive.
